Demo Account is a good way to practice Forex trading manually. But you need to choose your broker carefully to get good results.
We have selected to open a demo with IG Forex and we can recommend it.
Note that we have no affiliation with this broker.
We need a demo account to test the Forex software for automated trading that we develop. In particular, to test the Metatrader connector for our trading simulator and trading strategy tester software.
We’ve reviewed multiple options but eventually decided to stick with IG Forex demo account. It works stable and we didn’t experience any problems in our testing.
One note here is that IG Forex didn’t spam us in any way. Once we opened an account, they called us, but since then we received absolutely no marketing emails or calls. This is very rare nowadays when you get promotions by the minute.
The only issue we have with IG Forex were re-quotes that we experienced.
One alternative to a demo account that we use in our free software is free live market data feed for 10 main currency pairs from TrueFX.
In addition, on TrueFX website you can also download free high-quality historical tick-by-tick price data for 15 main pairs since 2009 (only requires free registration).
Again, note that we are not affiliates of TrueFX. But we have been using their data for over 3 years now. And we are very satisfied with their services. It is really important to get access to high-quality market data absolutely free.
Especially when some companies might charge you monthly.
